This is the new version of Azureus, a java client for exchanging files through the bitTorrent network.
Azureus allows the user to download multiple files in a single graphical user interface (GUI). It also offers detailed statistics and a great variety of configurable user adjustments. While downloading a torrent, the user can view diverse and complete download and upload parameters, such as:
- Current download and upload speeds as well as estimate time remaining to complete a download.
- Percentage of each file completed and information on each chunk (small parts of the complete file) still pending download as well as the number and availability of the chunk.
- Filenames, sizes and extension levels for specific files within a download directory (BitTorrent allows a user to create a torrent file for a complete directory). It is also possible to prevent certain files from downloading. - The peer data include IP addresses (and country with the use of a plugin), download and upload speeds from and to, the port being used by the BitTorrent, and the BitTorrent client being used. - Average speed and hive (peers of a torrent). This version provides some operation improvements as well as the correction of certain programming errors.
